While they have to stay at home to fight against the spread of the coronavirus in France, the French are starting to think about their summer wardrobe. A season to which they can project themselves, hoping that the crisis will have eased and that they will be able to enjoy a “normal” rhythm of life again. This is evidenced by their research and behavior on Stylight, which saw an 83% increase in clicks for swimwear compared to March of the previous year.
Another center of interest of the French: the “athleisure” spirit clothes, which allow not only to be comfortable at home but also to practice various sports in confinement. However, the current crisis is not solely responsible for this trend, which was already present before house arrest.
There is also a willingness among buyers to take their time during this period of confinement. Stylight notes a 10% increase in products saved in wishlists for France, showing a potential need for the French to wait before checkout.
