Palpitations for singles! According to a recent American study, married people are less likely to suffer from cardiovascular disease than people living alone!
Valid for four pathologies
“The study results should certainly not encourage anyone to get married in a hurry,” said the lead author of this work, Dr. Carlos Alviar of New York University’s Langone School of Medicine. “But it is important to know whether people live alone or in a couple because this can have important consequences for their vascular health.”
Marriage is good for the heart.
Based on the medical records of more than 3.5 million people aged 21 to 102 across the United States, the study was presented Friday at the annual conference of the American College of Cardiology ( ACC) meeting in Washington. According to the study, marriage is beneficial for the heart, suggesting that married people have less risk of cardiovascular disease than single, widowed, or divorced people.
