When it comes to lingerie, practicality takes precedence over aesthetics. A study reveals that Eurovet and Ipsos carried this out for the Mode City and Interfilière trade shows, held at Eurexpo Lyon from July 9 to 11. More than nine out of ten French women (92%) particularly attach great importance to the price of underwear, including 43% who even consider it an essential criterion.
Aesthetics are not essential.
Cotton, silk, satin, or synthetic: the material of the lingerie is also an essential criterion in women’s eyes. More than a third of respondents (37%) consider that this is even a “very” important criterion for making a choice. Aesthetics come only after these practical features, with 70% of women paying attention to them.
