If spring has just pointed the tip of its nose, eyes are already turned to the summer season with the first trends in swimwear. According to the latest report from Stylight (Stylight.fr), retro designs inspired by the ’80s, bows, pastel colors, and animal prints will be omnipresent on the beach this summer.
The first trend, and not the least, does not concern the design of swimwear per se, but the simple fact that fashion addicts are already interested in the essential pieces of summer. Faced with confinement and the global health crisis, consumers seem to have given up on getting clothes for spring, favoring a season they can fully enjoy. As a result, Stylight sees an 83% increase in clicks for the swimwear category in March on its international platforms compared to the same period. An addition that began in January.
Knots, ruffles, and other frills
In a glamorous and whimsical spirit, swimsuits will be adorned with many frills this summer for an ultra-dressy look on the beach. On the other hand, contrary to what one might think, it is not the vibrant colors that will invite themselves into your suitcase but the pastel shades, which are mainly in demand on the search platform dedicated to fashion. As a result, we note a 2.582% increase in clicks on Stylight compared to the same period a year earlier.
